Welcome to 4th Grade ELA and Reading Class

Fourth grade is a very exciting time to build your confidence and become the strongest learner that you have ever been. This is your year to shine bright and create a foundation of learning that will boost you into the 5th grade.
This year, our Walter Hill School theme is "Under Construction".  Our 4th grade theme is "4th Grade Brains Are Under Construction".  How will you build your brain this school year?  What do you want your brain to look like at the end of the school year?
I am so happy and joyful that you are here!

A few little tidbits about me:
  • This is my 21st year in education and the start of my 11th year in Rutherford County Schools.
  •  I have an ELA, Math, and ELL teaching foundation.  I am coming to Walter Hill from Blackman Middle.
  • My education:  UT @ Knoxville B.S. 1993, Belmont M.Ed 2000, and Trevecca ELL Endorsement 2020
  • My children:  Max, age 22 and a U.S Marine; Wesley, age 20 and a junior at UT; Gracie, age 18 and Freshman at MTSU.
  • My hobbies are spending time with family and friends, taking care of my dogs and chickens, camping, hiking, and being in any type of water.
Thank you in advance for your support and love of our Walter Hill community. Please let me know if you have any questions.
